Visa on arrival eligibility

Do Indians get VoA at Dubai Airport?

UAE Visa on Arrival (VoA) is available to Indian passport holders only if they hold a valid visa from the US, UK, or Schengen countries. Without one of these, you must apply for a UAE tourist visa before travel through an approved sponsor.

💡If you have a valid or recently expired (within 6 months) US, UK, or Schengen visa, you can get VoA at any UAE airport. VoA is free for 14 days and extendable once for another 14 days at AED 250.
What to prepare

Complete document checklist.

UAE visa applications go through an approved sponsor — typically an airline (Air India, Emirates, IndiGo), a travel agent, or directly through GDRFA. Documents required are simpler than most other destinations.

Step by step

How to apply from India.

UAE tourist visas are applied for through an approved sponsor — not directly with the government. The most common routes for Indian travellers:

01

Choose your application channel

Option 1: Through your airline (Emirates, Air India, IndiGo, Flydubai). Option 2: Through a UAE-registered travel agent. Option 3: Directly via GDRFA Dubai at gdrfad.gov.ae (requires a UAE host).

02

Submit application and documents

Upload required documents through your chosen channel. Application is submitted on your behalf by the sponsor.

03

Pay the visa fee

AED 252 + 5% VAT for 30-day single entry. Payment made through the sponsor’s payment system.

04

Wait for processing

3–5 working days for standard. Express options through some agents within 24–48 hours.

UAE visa is issued electronically — sent to your email as a PDF. No sticker in passport. Print or save on phone.
